Charming Three-Legged German Shepherd Mix Saved from Euthanasia Seeks a Loving Home

Date:

For stray dogs, each day is a relentless struggle for survival in the perilous and isolated streets.

Kiah, an affectionate German Shepherd mix, was battling for her life despite overwhelming odds. She was malnourished and losing her strength, with a broken front paw that left her in dire need of assistance.

Yet, Kiah’s spirit remained unbroken. She clung to the hope that brighter days awaited her and that kind-hearted people would come to her rescue.

The Pup Needs A Miracle

When Kiah was ultimately rescued and taken to the City of San Bernardino Animal Services, she believed that her luck was about to change.

At just one-and-a-half years old, she longed for a warm, loving home where she could truly be happy.

The volunteers at the shelter instantly fell for her gentle nature and fighting spirit. They cheered for her successful recovery and dreamt of her finding the perfect family.

Unfortunately, merely ten days after her arrival, Kiah found herself on the euthanasia list.

This charming dog needed someone to champion her and offer support during the darkest time in her life.

On the day she was meant to be euthanized, brave Kiah was prepared to embrace her fate and relinquish her dreams.

The Miracle That Kiah Was Waiting For

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a miracle occurred. The compassionate team at Leashes of Love Rescue, Inc. in Lake Forest, California, swiftly stepped in to save her life.

The rescue team managed to pull her from the shelter at the very last moment and arranged for her to stay with a wonderful foster family.

Kiah was ecstatic to escape the shelter. She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face.

She was placed on a special nutrition plan and began to gain weight quickly.

Her foster family enveloped her in love, which she gratefully absorbed.

Tragically, Kiah’s injured leg was beyond saving, resulting in an amputation.

Yet, this tenacious pup refused to be defeated. She worked hard to recover.

Hoping To Find Her Happy Ending

It took little time for her to adjust to life on three legs.

Free from pain, Kiah became even more spirited and playful than she was before her surgery.

Thanks to the amazing care provided by her rescuers and foster family, this charming California girl is now ready to find her forever home.

Kiah is known to be a true cuddle bug. She is excited to share her love with her forever family.

“She is an incredibly sweet tri-pod who is very affectionate, loves to snuggle, and craves head, body, and belly rubs,” stated Leashes of Love Rescue, Inc. in a Facebook post.

With all her heart, this lovable dog hopes to find a wonderful family that will cherish her unconditionally.

After everything she has endured at such a young age, she rightfully deserves her happy ending and the chance to see her dreams fulfilled.
