Charming Rescue Dog Becomes Friends with Everyone Except His Feline Siblings

Date:

It’s often said that ‘rescued’ is the finest breed when it comes to dogs, and Tony serves as a perfect example!

From the moment he arrived at Kelly’s place, he showcased nothing but sweetness. Before long, he became a local sensation with a unique talent for charming everyone he encounters.

However, not all is perfect for this furry darling! Unlike humans and other dogs, Tony’s feline siblings are far from enthusiastic about him!

When Kelly first laid eyes on Tony, she could hardly believe he was real. His adorableness, combined with a body reminiscent of a hippo, manatee, and Teddy bear, made him utterly irresistible!

Tony was rescued from a backyard breeder when he was just a few weeks old. Thanks to an ongoing court situation, he couldn’t be rehomed right away, leading him to spend five months in a local shelter.

“Tony was in the shelter for about five months. Looking at him now, I can only imagine how hellish it must have been for him,” Kelly recounted to GeoBeats Animals.

The first moments in Kelly and Gavin’s home were quite stressful for him. It took him a couple of weeks to come out of his shell, but soon his true personality began to shine!

Upon realizing he was in a forever home, Tony fully embraced his lovable nature. He became exceedingly cuddly and affectionate, especially gravitating towards Gavin as his favorite human!

Whenever Gavin is busy at the car restoration shop, Tony eagerly joins him, lounging under the car and anticipating those quick hugs from his dad!
