Izzie was certainly one of these dogs.
She was brought to the shelter as a stray, and this forlorn pup awaited tirelessly for her ideal family, yet she kept being ignored.
But then, one day, fortune smiled upon her!

Rachel, a passionate Pittie aficionado from California, had recently experienced the loss of her fourth dog and was in search of a new companion to love and cherish. When she received a text from her friend Julie, a volunteer at
Desert Dog Project in Arizona, her excitement was hard to contain.
Julie informed her about Izzie’s plight (who was previously named Gredill), and Rachel immediately made up her mind.
“Her shelter name was ‘Gredill,’ and she had been kept in isolation due to a variety of issues ranging from a sinus infection to skin irritations and a severe ear infection,” Rachel shared via Instagram.
