Living on the streets is tough for all homeless dogs, especially for little puppies. Instead of being loved and cared for by their parents, many fur babies are left to navigate dangers alone. Mystic was one such tiny puppy who found herself fighting for survival, scavenging for food in a California neighborhood.
Injured and hungry, Mystic desperately needed help. She spotted a quiet family house and decided to take a chance. With hope in her heart, she curled up in the yard and waited.
An Adorable Fur Baby Needs Help
When Jaymee Cisneros came to check on her parents’ house while they were vacationing, she discovered the tiny pup curled up in a corner of the yard. As the puppy saw her approaching, she looked up with sad eyes, pleading for assistance. Though a bit timid at first, she soon began to wag her tail, sensing that she had found a kind human.
Cisneros scooped up the injured puppy, later named Mystic, and immediately recognized her need for care. She called her friends at Tanya’s Adoption Network 4 Young Animals in California and reported the situation. Her friends agreed to rescue Mystic.
While waiting for the rescue team, Cisneros brought Mystic into the house for a bath, where the little pup felt safe for the first time in a while. Wrapped in a towel, Mystic showered her rescuer with love, grateful for the kindness shown to her.
After giving Mystic some comfort, Cisneros’s friends arrived to take her to the rescue. But as they left, a sense of loss filled her. “… As soon as the rescue left with her, I felt like I was missing something. I ended up reaching out to [the] rescue after they left and let them know if she didn’t have a family and became adoptable, we would gladly take her in,” Cisneros remarked to The Dodo.
Finding The Family She Always Dreamed Of
Mystic received the necessary medical care and soon recovered. As she lacked a microchip and no one appeared to be looking for her, she was welcomed into Cisneros’s family as their permanent companion. With a joyful expression, the sweet puppy found a loving home where she would never experience hunger or loneliness again. We are thrilled that Mystic has discovered a family that adores her, and we hope that every stray dog finds a place to call home.
