California Woman Purchases ‘Boyfriend Pillow’ for Herself, But Her Dog Has Other Ideas

Date:

If there’s one thing I’ll never tire of, it’s watching dogs react to the most bizarre things in life. Their reactions make every moment with them incredibly entertaining. I’ve always cherished the expressions of my dog when he encounters something unfamiliar. He’d either adore it or despise it, and in cases of the latter, we’d quickly remove it to avoid upsetting him. These unique moments have always felt special.

This was also true for Rebecca Adam, who purchased a ‘boyfriend pillow’ and observed an amusing reaction from her dog, Nugget.

It’s Not Yours Anymore

When Rebecca brought the pillow home to California, she didn’t anticipate any reaction from her dog, Nugget. The surprise came when she discovered that Nugget had grown quite fond of it, effectively claiming it as his own. She soon realized that she would likely never reclaim her pillow from Nugget, who kept it close at all times.

At one point, Rebecca considered taking the pillow away, but she couldn’t bear to do it upon seeing how happy Nugget was cuddling with it. Interestingly, she pointed out that Nugget is generally not a cuddly dog and shies away from human affection, making his attachment to the pillow all the more unusual. She realized this pillow wasn’t going to be a fleeting fascination; Nugget had definitively taken possession.

What Did The Internet Say

After sharing a video of Nugget snuggling with the pillow, many viewers had engaging reactions. One remarked, “Not him looking at you like you’re interrupting! This is adorable.” It certainly seemed like Nugget was savoring every moment of his time with the pillow, even when Rebecca interrupted him. Another viewer commented, “I was sooooo weirded out by the way the person was laying, then as it got closer, I was like ohhhhhh a puppy.

While it might seem a bit odd from certain perspectives, it’s clear that Nugget is delighted with his new pillow, and that’s what truly matters. One final comment read: “I have a curved body pillow and my chihuahua did the same thing.” This suggests the shape of the pillow significantly influences how dogs respond to them. It’s always insightful to observe these reactions, and perhaps we should consider getting our dogs their own pillows for some cuddly moments.
