Nothing warms my heart more than seeing a pup treated as they deserve. Unfortunately, the world isn’t always kind to animals, with numerous cases of neglect and abuse that can bring tears to my eyes. All these animals want is our love and companionship, yet sometimes we struggle to meet even that simple request. Therefore, you can imagine my joy when I come across stories where a loving animal, whether a stray or from a home, receives the care and respect they truly deserve.
The Sweetest Girl Ever

When Hope For Paws, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing animals in the Los Angeles area, received a text about an abandoned and exhausted Pit Bull, two committed staff members dropped everything to respond to the call. On their way, they realized they needed to make a quick stop to grab some tasty food – not for themselves, but for the pup!
After picking up a delicious burger, they proceeded to the Los Angeles neighborhood where the sweet girl was located. Upon arriving, they felt a wave of happiness to discover that she was actually well cared for. The garden owners provided her with warm blankets, water, and food. Still, to show her they were there to help, the rescuers presented her with the burger, and she eagerly took a big bite.

While the pup enjoyed her burger, one rescuer quickly fetched a kennel from their car to transport the pup, who was soon named Grace, back to the Los Angeles shelter.
Let’s Find You A Home
Upon arrival, the team prepared a warm bubble bath for Grace to get her clean. However, they noticed that the skin on her face had been biopsied, prompting them to take her to the vet for further tests. Everyone at the shelter breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that it wasn’t a sign of cancer. Although some broken teeth needed to be extracted, overall, she was a healthy girl.

Now healthy and happy, Grace was ready for a new forever home. Fortuitously, the compassionate people at It’s The Pits, a 501c3 canine rescue focused on fostering and adopting pups, reached out to offer to foster this lovable girl.

I am confident that when the time is right, this brave pup will find the perfect family to love and care for her as she truly deserves. If you think that might be you, visit the It’s The Pits website to learn more!
