Surprises are always delightful, especially when they brighten up our day. This was the experience of the team at The Animal Rescue Center of California when two boxes arrived at their Coachella, California office. Upon opening the first box, joy filled the room as they discovered tiny baby cats inside. One quick-thinking employee immediately arranged for a foster parent, Dani, an elderly woman and kitten expert, to take the kittens to the Cat Clinic, just 30 minutes away.
While the staff was already ecstatic, their happiness grew even more when they opened the second box, expecting something wonderful. Inside, they found a precious little six-week-old puppy named Griffin, a Chihuahua mix weighing only 2.75 lbs and sadly covered in ticks, which they promptly removed. After a good bath and a hearty meal, Griffin began to regain his strength and show his playful personality.
Furry Surprise
Griffin delighted everyone with his spirited personality, quickly befriending the larger rescue dogs. He found an unexpected buddy in Mackenzie, an eight-month-old Staffordshire mix weighing 75 lbs. Despite the size difference, these two formed a strong bond, showcasing their friendship in a video titled “Two Puppies, Two Different Sizes.”
“Both of these ARC puppies were found on the street and are now thriving. Mackenzie is the last puppy of The Coachella 6 playing big sis to our latest rescue, Griffin,” they announced in a Facebook post. In no time, Griffin became a star at ARC, drawing attention from many.
New Box Of Joy
A woman named Susan, who recently relocated from Michigan to Coachella to be near her children, realized she needed a furry companion. After watching Griffin’s adorable Almond Butter smacking video, she felt he was the perfect match for her. Soon, she contacted The Animal Rescue Center of California, leading to yet another box of joy, this time filled with love for Susan and her new family member, Griffin.
“As soon as we put Griffin in Susan’s arms, we knew he was going to love this family, and there is no doubt that they love him. Welcome home, Griffin,” ARC shared in a Facebook post.
Griffin brought immense joy to his new family, ready to receive his new surprises and the unconditional love he truly deserves.
