California Rescuers Heartbroken After Discovering Abandoned Puppy Near Demolished Home

Date:

It was an ordinary day for these happy pups, enjoying life, when they unexpectedly found themselves in a dire situation. Their owner decided to move, choosing to abandon them cruelly in the area without a second thought. To make matters worse, he had the house demolished, leaving them with no shelter and forcing them to endure the cold weather.

Fortunately, a group of dedicated rescuers learned about their plight and rushed to their aid, eager to help. However, when they first arrived, they could only find one dog, who was still waiting patiently for an owner that would never return. They attempted to find him a foster home that evening but were unable to do so, so they provided him with food and returned the next day.

They Were Waiting For Help

Upon their return, the rescuers discovered two more dogs waiting, making the situation even more urgent as they sought to find forever homes for all three. Initially unable to find help, the rescuers decided to care for them until a solution could be arranged. Over time, the dogs grew accustomed to their new visitors, excitedly wagging their tails whenever a car pulled into the area, rejoicing at the arrival of those who cared for them.

A Terrible Incident

Everything was going smoothly until the rescuers discovered something tragic: one of the dogs, Roku, had been hit by a car. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they rushed him to a clinic where an X-ray revealed a broken right femur. Although he required expensive surgery, they were fortunate enough to know a surgeon willing to perform the procedure for a reduced fee. After the surgery, Roku was taken into a foster home to rest and recover, where he made new friends named Bett and Terry.

Roku was well cared for throughout his recovery, and the progress he made daily was remarkable. Soon, he would be transported to a new foster home, which would be his temporary residence until a forever family could be found for him and his companions. On the other hand, the other two dogs, now named Raya and Roger, were well-received by their rescuers and continued to receive the care they needed as they too sought a new family. I remain hopeful that they will find loving homes where they will be treated with the kindness they deserve.
