Many rescue stories highlight the issue of abandonment faced by dogs and puppies, making the world seem a harsh place. While such heartbreaking events occur due to irresponsible owners, it’s important to acknowledge that there are plenty of compassionate individuals eager to help.
This kindness unfolds frequently, even if it’s difficult to notice amidst the daily barrage of negative news. For instance, a Good Samaritan in California came across a litter of eight puppies abandoned near a dumpster by Taco Bell and did everything he could to assist.
They Caught A Break

Realizing he couldn’t manage all eight puppies alone, the Good Samaritan enlisted the help of a kind woman who took them to the Helen Woodward Animal Center in California for the vital assistance they required.
The woman originally planned to bring them to a veterinarian but soon acknowledged that she needed professional help to care for the puppies.

With the support of professionals, the rescuers noted that identifying the breed of the tiny puppies was challenging due to their young age. Initially, they suspected Terriers but later discovered that the puppies were actually Pugs, a fact that became evident as they grew.
They Are Recovering Fast

The ongoing treatment revealed that one puppy was struggling to adapt, leading to the rescuers’ heartache when she crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after, despite their efforts. While her loss was devastating, they had to focus on the remaining seven puppies, who were responding well to care.

Compared to their initial state, the remaining puppies improved significantly, leading the dedicated shelter staff to name them after colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Now, the rescuers are committed to finding them loving homes, ensuring a bright future for each of these seven puppies.
