Dogs are inherently curious creatures and love to pick things up with their mouths—from their toys to your favorite shoes. If they see something they like, there’s a good chance it will end up in their mouth. After all, they don’t have hands to use! The challenge, however, comes when you need to get them to release what they’ve claimed.
What Does He Have In His Mouth?
While enjoying the sunshine on their porch, a dog owner let their pup out into the yard. Soon after, they noticed the dog had something in its mouth. Upon closer inspection, they discovered a pair of feet dangling from the pup’s mouth! The owner commanded the pup to drop the item, but the California-based dog didn’t seem to listen, despite her firm instructions of “Bad boy! Drop it!” in a video.
Even though dogs generally dislike hearing commands like that, this pup seemed unfazed, sitting on the porch with his mouth firmly closed.
Plan B
It appeared that this pup was so fond of his new furry companion that no amount of pleading from the owner would convince him to let it go. She exclaimed, “I’m never letting you out into the yard again. Put it down. Drop it! You are being a bad boy! Drop it!” However, she soon hatched a plan using something she knew the pup couldn’t refuse—a treat as a trade!
Just like that, her charming pup trotted back into the yard and dropped his furry friend.
The owner then discovered that it was a little bunny! Thankfully, the adorable creature was unharmed, and she gently picked it up and returned it to its nest. “He curled back in there, so I think he is okay. Sorry, friend! I am so sorry!” she said.
With the little bunny safely back with its family, it could finally relax and take a much-deserved nap. As for the pup, let’s hope he did indeed get that treat! He only wanted to play with his new friend, proving that all’s well that ends well!
