Adorable Pug Siblings Choose to Stay Together After Being Abandoned at an Elementary School

Date:

The love that dogs have for us shines through in their sparkling eyes and their enthusiastic greetings when we come home from work.

We are lucky to receive their affection, and we strive to show our dogs just how much they mean to us.

Unfortunately, some owners lack this love and abandon their pets, leaving them heartbroken.

Audrey, Chica, and Millie, three adorable Pug mix puppies, experienced this anguish when they were left at an elementary school in Mecca, California.

Instead of snuggling in a warm bed at night, the three puppies had to endure the cold outdoors.

Capturing The Puppies

The school principal contacted The Animal Rescue Center of California after discovering three puppies abandoned on school property.

The rescuers were deeply saddened to think of the poor puppies having to sleep outside in the cold.

Kirk, one of the rescuers, was determined to rescue the pups and drove to the school right away.

As soon as he arrived, he spotted two puppies in the schoolyard. They were searching the ground for anything edible.

Kirk set out a crate with food, but the hesitant puppies would not enter it. Despite their hunger, the scent of food did not entice them.

The experienced rescuer realized that capturing the puppies was going to take more effort.

He left food for the puppies, who eagerly devoured it.

Knowing that coyotes might appear at night, Kirk was determined to bring the puppies to safety before dark.

Fortunately, school custodian Ivan and a student, also named Ivan, had spent time with the puppies over the last couple of days. Their presence helped the puppies trust them, making it possible for the custodian and the student to approach.

The custodian successfully caught one puppy, but the other ran off to the playground, where rescuers discovered the third sibling, who was distracted by chasing cats.

Kirk picked up the third puppy, who responded affectionately, kissing his hands as if she recognized his kind intentions.

Though Kirk could have apprehended the third puppy, he opted to wait, fearing the second puppy would run away again. He believed it was best to rescue them together.

The Three Puppies Are Brought To Safety

Kirk and Ivan devised a clever plan to usher the puppies into the school building. Once inside, they breathed a sigh of relief. The babies were finally safe.

Kirk then transported the precious puppies to the rescue center in Coachella, California.

Upon arrival, the staff welcomed the charming siblings and named them Audrey, Chica, and Millie.

With warm surroundings and plenty of love, the three puppies felt a wave of relief. They wagged their tails joyfully, feeling safe and cherished.

Audrey, Chica, and Millie love to play with toys and can’t wait to find their forever homes. These lovable puppies have plenty of affection to share with their future families.

If you are searching for a loyal and loving furry companion, consider reaching out to The Animal Rescue Center in California. Meet these delightful puppies and prepare to completely fall in love!
