Nothing brings joy to dog enthusiasts quite like witnessing a rescue pup find a loving home. That pivotal moment when they know they are safe is truly special, as is the remarkable change they undergo throughout their journey.
When Francine, a small Pittie puppy, was discovered in a dumpster, she seemed beyond hope. With a mangy coat and the inability to hear, this petite girl desperately needed help after being heartlessly abandoned by her former owner.
What she didn’t realize was that the most incredible turn of events was just days away!
The Road To A Pawfect Home

Upon hearing Francine’s story, Jessica Kupsik, a trainer from Chicago, immediately felt a connection. When the local rescue organization, Dark Horse Dogs, reached out to see if she could foster Francine, she couldn’t resist.
“I think the fact that she was mangy and deaf sold me,” Jessica shared with GeoBeats Animals.
From their very first encounter, Francine and Jessica shared an extraordinary connection. Although Francine’s condition was unique, her vibrant personality was anything but ordinary.

Kona, Jessica’s other pooch, embraced Francine as her energetic little sister, who was always dashing around the house and chirping with excitement.
Despite her inability to hear, Francine quickly became the beloved queen of the household. Her quirky and occasionally silly antics brought endless joy and laughter to her foster mom.
She was an eager learner and swiftly picked up hand signals; however, some of her playful habits, like jumping on and off furniture just for fun, posed a challenge for Jessica!
