Unfortunately, these fortunate dogs are in the minority today. Many canines find themselves abandoned or struggling to survive on their own. Some have never experienced genuine love, while others have been cast aside, leaving their hearts shattered.
Among them is Roseanna, a three-year-old shelter dog who embodies the pain and suffering that many animals endure due to dire circumstances.
Fortunately, there are compassionate individuals who empathize with these animals and are willing to go above and beyond to help.
Heartbreaking Health Issues
Roseanna was only three years old when she arrived at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control East Shelter in Mesa, Arizona.
Despite being seasoned by years of experience, the shelter staff found this case particularly heartbreaking, as the Pit Bull was in dreadful shape upon her arrival.
Roseanna was dealing with significant skin irritation, severe fur loss, and was overweight, leading the staff to conclude that she was suffering from hypothyroidism, as these are all classic indicators of the condition.
On top of all of this, Roseanna is also deaf, further complicating her circumstances.
Yet, in spite of these challenges, she maintains a gentle spirit and a positive attitude, demonstrating her resilience and strength.
This tenacity inspired the shelter staff to exhaust all efforts to create a brighter future for her.
Hopes For A Better Tomorrow
The caregivers at the shelter have made every effort to enhance Roseanna’s quality of life and bring happiness into her days. The love and attention she received there have brought healing to her spirit.
The shelter staff describe her as a lovely and affectionate soul who always manages to smile, regardless of her dire situation. They also noted that she is potty trained, well-versed in kennel etiquette, and leashed without issue.
These qualities are significant indicators that this incredible dog truly deserves a forever home. However, since she is still located in the Mesa, Arizona shelter, the staff have requested the help of kind-hearted individuals to donate towards her medical expenses as every bit helps.
Still, they remain optimistic that soon there won’t be a need for this, and that Roseanna will finally find her perfect match, thanks to the compassion of kind souls still prevalent in the world.
