Piccolo could have never imagined, even in his wildest dreams, the transformation his life would undergo.

Just when Piccolo least expected it, fate brought kind-hearted people into his life and gifted him with the sweetest surprise.
A Chance to Change His Life
One day, the rescuers from Compassion Without Borders, a charitable organization, found the naked stray dog and brought him to safety.
As a senior pup, he was immediately taken in by Muttville Senior Dog Rescue located in San Francisco, California.
Named Piccolo, the puppy instantly charmed the shelter staff, who showered him with love.
“I was at Muttville the day after Piccolo arrived in San Francisco. He was known as Chester while with CWOB. The poor boy had endured so much alone; his skin was in terrible condition, yet he remained sweet and seemed to understand we were there to help,” shared Patty Stanton from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue with The Dodo.
Piccolo welcomed all the cuddles and support from his new friends at the shelter.
No one knew just how long Piccolo had been on his own, nor how long he had been suffering from his skin issues.
At ten years old, the staff had little hope that his fur would grow back.
Given the medication he needed and surrounded by the love of the shelter team, he began his journey to recovery.
As the days went by, Piccolo started to feel better and began to enjoy taking walks.
Piccolo’s New Life in the Sun
A wonderful family happened to be on the lookout for a dog to adopt.
While browsing the profiles of adoptable dogs on the shelter’s website, they were captivated by Piccolo’s profile.
His sweet, soulful eyes melted the hearts of the family. They instantly fell in love and decided to welcome him into their home.
They assured Piccolo that they would love him just the same, regardless of whether his fur ever grew back.
Overjoyed, Piccolo embraced his new life with his humans, enjoying the toys and cozy blankets they provided.
His forever family surrounded him with abundant love, eager to compensate for the lonely days he endured as a stray.
Feeling cherished, Piccolo was astonished by the drastic change in his life.
Resolved to embrace who he was, Piccolo felt accepted.
Despite his lack of fur, he relished wearing the stylish sweaters his family adorned him with.
The adventurous senior dog loves exploring the world with his family.

Piccolo particularly enjoys napping on an array of blankets next to the heater, which has become his preferred cozy spot at home.
