She was left on the streets by a backyard breeder when she was no longer deemed useful.
This sweet pup found herself wandering alone, confused and longing for kindness and love.
A Shelter Welcomes Her
Leville’s spirits lifted when a shelter in San Bernardino, California took her in. She hoped to find the joy she so longed for.
Upon her arrival, she was diagnosed with a suspected prolapsed uterus.
Sadly, the shelter had to place Leville on their euthanasia list because they lacked the resources for her treatment.
The despair in her eyes suggested she understood her grave situation.
However, fortune smiled upon her when Love Leo Rescue in Santa Monica, California, learned of her imminent fate.
The dedicated rescuers refused to let Leville’s story end there. They promptly rescued her from the shelter and brought her into their loving care.
As she exited the shelter, Leville joyfully wagged her tail, regaining her radiance and hope.
The rescuers suspected that Leville had been overbred and only began to show health issues when she was deemed too troublesome.
A thorough veterinary examination revealed her actual age to be around two to three years.
When the time came for surgery, the doctors discovered that Leville had been misdiagnosed and actually had no serious health issues; she only required a routine spay.
Leville Eagerly Awaits Her Forever Family
After her spay surgery, Leville joined her foster family, where she began to receive the love and attention she had always needed.
As she got comfortable in her foster environment, Leville’s personality began to shine through.
“Leville embodies everything we adore about a bulldog mix: she’s funny, playful, and might just double as a doorstop😆,” shared her rescuers in a Facebook post.
This darling girl loves being around people and relishes cuddles. Leville gets on well with her foster dog siblings and enjoys accompanying them on walks.
Leville is ready to begin the happiest chapter of her life.

After all she has endured, Leville deserves to thrive in a home that will cherish her endlessly.
