After her cherished owner could no longer care for her due to a terminal condition, this lovely Bully girl found herself alone. Her path was filled with trials, but ultimately, she discovered the perfect forever home!

A Long Journey, But She Overcame It
A rescue organization in Washington took in this sweetheart after her owner had to surrender her. The goodbye was heartbreaking, marking the start of one of the toughest chapters in Shanti’s life.
She struggled to adapt to shelter life, feeling isolated and uninterested in connecting with others. In fact, she completely shut down.
“They found her tucked away at the back of the rescue. She had been there for months without much interest. It wasn’t as if she was showcased; she was pretty much the one being ignored,” shared Norma with GeoBeats Animals.
When Norma and Dan, a couple from Seattle, Washington, learned about Shanti’s plight, they sprang into action. They rushed to rescue her, only to discover that she was so much more than just a rescued animal.
Despite being less than a year old, Shanti had already given birth to a litter. She was emaciated and required proper nutrition, but most importantly, she needed love!
Fortunately, her new family was ready to shower her with affection!
With her two siblings, Bubba and Zoey, Shanti gradually rediscovered the essence of love. Her new family opened their hearts to her, allowing her to feel like a cherished princess once more.
For days on end, she simply wanted to zoom around in her new backyard and hold her humans’ hands whenever she craved closeness and comfort.
This little ritual brought her immense peace, and her owners loved every moment of it! Shanti radiated like a child yearning for affection from her parents!
She Understands Everyone and Everything
Shanti is extraordinary, no doubt about it!
This rescued pup possesses an incredible talent for perceiving people’s feelings!
“She reads me very well. One time, while I was sitting on the couch feeling down, she came over, licked my tears, and placed her little paw on my shoulder as if to say she understands,” says Norma.
In many ways, it’s as if she fully grasps human emotions! During challenging times, Shanti is there to offer solace. She’s like a therapist to her family!
“There’s something about her that makes her feel nearly human,” Norma adds.
Norma and Dan fondly refer to her as their little lion due to her striking golden eyes. She possesses a captivating, deep gaze that enchants everyone around her.
Without a doubt, Shanti was destined to spread happiness to all who cross her path. With her loving family, she experiences true joy. It’s safe to say that today, Shanti is a completely new dog.
After enduring so much hardship, she’s finally in the right place—with the right people!
