Throughout her life, Panini has been a true darling. Unfortunately, the closest she has come to being adopted is simply watching her shelter friends find their forever homes while she gets left behind.
The team at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas feels disheartened by Panini’s ongoing solitude. Whether it’s a case of black dog syndrome or just bad luck, she has yet to experience the joy of being a family pet.
However, there is still hope! Her caregivers are determined to help her find the perfect home!
Why Is This Beauty Still Without A Home?
Panini has spent nearly 250 days in this Texas shelter. During her time there, she has never displayed any negative behaviors or outbursts.
In fact, she’s become a favorite among everyone!
With her sweet and serene demeanor, Panini captures the hearts of all. Even during playtime with her toys, she remains gentle! She is simply an adorable dog with an open heart for all.
“Panini is a sweetheart and a shelter favorite. Sadly, she has been in the shelter for almost 250 days,” stated the shelter in a Facebook post.
Whenever she steps out to play with other dogs or heads out for daily walks, her behavior is impeccable.
She’s trained on a leash and housebroken, making her a fantastic companion for car rides! Additionally, she shares her kennel with another dog, which isn’t an issue for Panini!
This Pittie Lab mix loves everyone and everything, yet for some inexplicable reason, people keep passing her by, leaving her still awaiting a home.
To combat this unfortunate situation, her caregivers made the decision to let Panini experience what true family life includes from within a home.
Recently, Panini had a brief stay with a foster family, who provided glowing feedback about her.
Despite her lack of previous adoptions, it appears that Panini understands life indoors quite well.
“Panini is a NATURAL family dog. She instantly won over my 3-year-old. My almost-1-year-old was hesitant at first, but her sweet kisses made him giggle,” shared the rescue.
There’s Still Hope
Recently, Panini was welcomed into a new foster home. With her foster mom, Heather Kelly, each day brings new adventures.
Heather is amazed that such a friendly and lovable dog hasn’t yet found a home. Along with her natural affection, she is also great with kids, serving as an excellent babysitter!
“Panini is finally getting the break she deserves from the shelter. She’s been passed over for too long. She’s friendly with both dogs and kids. Please share to help us find her a loving family,” Heather posted on Facebook.
Even though she has yet to discover her forever family, everyone remains hopeful that Panini will soon have her chance.
She embodies everything you could want in a dog – from being a cuddle buddy for lazy afternoons to an adventurous spirit ready for outings – she’s capable of it all!
It’s safe to say that Panini is the complete package!
