He Understands Everything
Karlie’s dream was to adopt a deaf dog, and that dream became a reality!
She found Rhett at a local Texas shelter. Initially nervous about how their relationship might unfold, Rhett quickly eased her concerns!
On the day they met, he came right up for a hug and a kiss, sealing the deal – Rhett was now part of the family.
Gradually, Rhett adapted to his new surroundings, but then he took an important step forward!
He began learning sign language to understand what his humans were conveying, as he couldn’t hear verbal commands.
This breakthrough allowed him to connect with his mom, making them the best of friends. They established a means of communication that didn’t require spoken words.
“He can’t hear what’s happening around him, so I communicate through sign language. I can sign to him and he comprehends,” Karlie shared with Cuddle Buddies.
