Suzette Hall, a dedicated dog rescuer from Southern California, has faced numerous challenges in her mission to save animals. She has rescued strays, cared for injured dogs, and found loving homes for countless pups. Hall’s journey continually introduces her to heart-wrenching situations that leave her in disbelief.
Recently, she received a distressing call about a small dog abandoned in a parking lot adjacent to a construction site. Initially, Hall expected this rescue to be straightforward, but it quickly evolved into a more complicated endeavor.
She Was So Scared Of People

Upon arriving, Hall was heartbroken to find a tiny dog struggling to survive in the parking lot, navigating through a small opening in the fence leading to a nearby trailer park. She discovered that the dog, now named Bethany, spent her days there, making friends but ultimately returning to the same unsafe spot each night, alone without food or shelter.
“Poor baby found a little hole in a fence in between a mobile home park and a new construction site. That hole led to a small traveling space that would end up inside the mobile homes,” Hall expressed on social media.
It was heartbreaking to watch as all of Bethany’s friends returned to their homes while she remained behind. “They all had homes to go to but she didn’t,” Hall reflected.
With Bethany constantly at risk of injury and living in fear, Hall felt compelled to act.

Determined not to leave her alone, Hall set a humane trap in the parking lot and patiently waited, allowing Bethany to approach at her own pace. Despite several attempts, Bethany repeatedly evaded capture due to her fear of people.
Eventually, Hall relocated the trap closer to a trailer, and after hours of waiting, her patience paid off—Bethany was finally captured, and it was now time to find her a forever home.
Shocking Update

After a few days of loving care, Bethany was ready to transition to a foster home. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred: Hall learned that Bethany’s original owner had not abandoned her, but rather that the pup had escaped.

After being missing for two months, Bethany was relocated to the parking lot by someone who found her. Fortunately, her owner never stopped searching. “Someone had definitely found her and relocated her. Her mama never gave up and yesterday… We reunited Bebe with her mama. It was just another miracle,” Hall posted with joy.

After all the uncertainty and emotional turmoil, Bebe finally found her way home. Now safe and secure, she radiates joy and love, ensuring her past struggles are far behind. Two months later, Bebe is exactly where she belongs—back with her family.
