California Veterinarians Stunned as Owners Arrive to Euthanize Two Healthy Dogs

Date:

There’s no such thing as a broken dog. It’s always about the circumstances, the treatment, and the amount of love and effort you invest in raising it to be a good pooch. Sadly, not all owners share this perspective. Some give up right from the start, allowing their furry companions to face a sad end.

Godric and Sadie recently experienced this heartbreak. Both were surrendered by their owners who shockingly requested that the shelter euthanize them.

Godric’s Backstory

Hearts For Paws, based in Davis, California, shared this heartbreaking story on their social media. A family arrived at Solano County Animal Care, bringing in their family dog, a three-year-old Chocolate Lab, Godric, with a shocking request – to euthanize him because he allegedly bit their baby.

“They brought Godric the 3 yr chocolate lab in, and told the shelter he bit the baby who had crawled into his food bowl,” the rescue stated on Instagram. However, the shelter found it odd; Godric had never had a single outburst and was sweet, behaving perfectly well around strangers and caregivers.
