Allison Thomison observed her deaf Pit Bull, Evie, fixated on a broken-down truck. Living on a 300-acre farm in rural Arizona, Evie often encountered wildlife, so Allison initially thought it was nothing unusual. However, Evie’s relentless gaze drew Thomison’s attention to the vehicle where her husband was working.
Shocking Discovery

To Thomison’s astonishment, it became clear that Evie was focused on a tiny kitten, and she immediately recognized the little feline. A few weeks prior, she had seen the kitten following her own cat, Noodle, who was male and neutered, making her wonder if they were indeed related or if it was just a coincidence.

Thomison affectionately named the kitten Mini-Me, who seemed to disappear and reappear at will, much like his namesake. It turned out that the truck was being repaired, leaving ample space for Mini-Me to find comfort inside.
Hide And Seek
Getting Mini-Me out of the truck proved to be a challenge. He was initially wary of Thomison but eventually, realizing she meant no harm, emerged from his cozy hiding space.
“He was very spicy … Then he suddenly realized that we were there to help him and we weren’t going to hurt him, so he came out,” Thomison shared with The Dodo.
Now, Mini-Me is a lively member of the farm, known for his playful antics and mischief. He enjoys the company of Thomison’s three other cats, often joking that Evie’s discovery of Mini-Me led to the addition of yet another furry family member.

Despite Evie’s role in finding him, Mini-Me isn’t particularly fond of her, often swatting at the Pit Bull whenever possible. As Thomison humorously notes, “He swipes at Evie every chance he gets.”
Cats Will Be Cats
Mini-Me has settled into a loving home where he enjoys all the comforts, including his own corner in an air-conditioned barn. True to his feline nature, he relishes his independence and prefers not to be dictated. Thomison likens him to Oscar the Grouch, saying, “He prefers his truck. He’s kind of like Oscar the Grouch [with] his little trash can … he just loves being in there,” she concluded.
