There are too many instances where a dog is left behind, abandoned by its owner, which is always deeply disheartening to witness.
This recurring situation can lead many to think that change is unattainable and that such cruel treatment towards dogs will persist.
Nevertheless, this is not the reality. Though negativity can cloud our vision, hope still exists.
Numerous rescuers dedicate their lives daily to ensure that every dog they encounter is saved and given a chance at a new home. They truly make a difference in the world.
On what began as a typical day for Suzette Hall, she received a distressing call regarding a dog seen near a busy street who needed urgent assistance.
Her Quick Response

The unfortunate dog had been abandoned by his owner on a California street, doing his best to survive despite the danger surrounding him.
He faced potential injury every time he attempted to cross the road, and food was exceedingly hard to come by.
A compassionate person provided him with some food to keep him going, but he was in dire need of help. Having to sleep near trash bins is a heartbreaking image to conjure.

Throughout this ordeal, the dog remained hopeful, waiting for his owner to return and take him back home, an event that was never meant to occur.
I struggle to comprehend how anyone can mistreat an innocent creature like that. He did nothing to earn such cruelty.
Fortunately, circumstances were about to take a positive turn when Suzette Hall arrived to assist him.
Setting a Humane Trap for the Dog

When she approached him, he was understandably cautious and began to step back. Nevertheless, Hall decided to set a trap to secure him.
A friend of hers provided food, which they placed in a kennel, waiting until the dog was tempted to take the bait.
The dog, uncertain of their intentions, was nonetheless very hungry and couldn’t resist the offer of easily accessible food.
He finally ventured into the trap for the hot dogs and was safely caught. Hall exhaled in relief, knowing he was now out of danger.

With him safely in her vehicle, they headed to a shelter in California. Hall felt fortunate that they were able to save him just in time, as the rain started pouring shortly after.
Once he had settled into his temporary space, Hall recognized the need for a visit to the vet for a checkup.
While the future remains uncertain, we can reasonably speculate that the dog will not face any significant health issues and will make a complete recovery.
With Suzette Hall looking after him, it’s clear that his life will improve and he will eventually find a forever home. I’m so grateful to her for giving him a second chance.
