A remarkable Chihuahua mix named Sakura may be small in stature, but her heart and spirit are incredibly vast.
Sadly, her previous life was not what one would call ideal. Yet, in the face of adversity while living in Southern California, Sakura exhibited extraordinary strength and bravery, all while nurturing three tiny puppies in her belly!
Fortunately, fate had a different plan for Sakura, opening a new chapter in her life where she could finally enjoy the kind of life every dog dreams of.
An Incredible Mama
One day, local animal control seized Sakura and her lovely puppies from their former home.
Upon being taken to the City of San Bernardino Animal Services in California, this little family was put on an urgent euthanasia list. Sakura was in a severely malnourished condition and was so frightened that she would bark whenever the shelter staff attempted to handle one of her puppies.
Fortunately, a compassionate shelter networker named Lois C. was determined to change their fate. She reached out to rescuers, alerting them about the terrifying situation facing this adorable family. Thankfully, Leashes of Love Rescue, Inc. responded quickly, rescuing Sakura and her puppies from the shelter and placing them in a loving foster home with Debbie.
At last, this devoted mother could take the time to recover, improve her health, and nurture her adorable puppies.
As the days passed, Sakura’s puppies flourished, and she finally had companions to play with! She cherished every moment spent with her little ones, teaching them how to be wonderful furry friends for their future families.
When the time came, Sakura’s beloved litter, Kilo, Kiele, and Kai, were happily adopted into warm and welcoming homes.
Sakura’s Happily Ever After
Seeing her puppies embark on their new adventures filled Sakura with happiness, but the opportunity to focus on herself allowed this determined mama to truly shine.
She has gained substantial confidence and learned all the essential commands! Sakura has received all of her vaccinations and is scheduled for spaying before heading to her forever home. This means she is more than ready to join a loving family!
Every person who has encountered her describes her as the most affectionate, intelligent, and playful pup who adores both playtime and cozy nap sessions.
As a result, her rescuers believe she would thrive in a household with another energetic dog and even young children so she could enjoy fun playdates. Although she’s never met cats, everyone is confident she would adjust well to them, too.
