Then one day, she noticed that Wendy had begun to show curiosity about the house, though she was still cautious.
Everything took a positive turn in week 2 when her foster mom joined Wendy in the shed, working on her laptop.
She realized that this charming dog was seeking her companionship, and sensed it wouldn’t be long before she found the courage to step inside the house.
As the days passed, Wendy’s demeanor shifted noticeably, and she became increasingly social, especially during their outdoor playtime.
Wendy Is Prepared for a New Beginning
By week 3, the situation for Wendy transformed entirely. Her foster mom decided it was time to see if Wendy was ready, so she left the door of the house ajar.
Wendy confidently walked inside, marking a significant milestone in her journey. Her foster mom beamed with pride.
She recounted: “Before I knew it, she was right beside me, asking for pets and showering me with face kisses.”
This shift meant that she was now beginning to adapt to her crate and no longer had to sleep in the shed.
As she became braver and more joyful, her foster mom introduced Wendy to her resident dog, and the two quickly bonded.
The two spent their days playing, exploring, and napping peacefully together, bringing such joy to their lives.
