Nowadays, there are countless abandoned dogs roaming the streets. These vulnerable animals have been left to navigate the world on their own, abandoned by those they once trusted the most.
To worsen the situation, rather than offering assistance, many individuals choose to ignore these animals in their time of need.
Fortunately, there are still compassionate individuals willing to stop their cars to rescue these furry companions and offer them a chance at a better life.
This was the case in Los Angeles, California, one August day when a kind-hearted man embarked on a rescue mission upon spotting three abandoned puppies on the freeway.
Thanks to his efforts, along with those of his caring wife, these puppies eventually found their happy endings.
Precious Little Souls
On August 7, 2024, a woman named Viv shared a TikTok video on her account, @vivianaaae, detailing the rescue of three abandoned puppies from the Los Angeles streets.
The video opens with a shot of her husband’s car, but it’s the words displayed on screen that hold significance.
“There are three puppies running on the freeway; I have to save them,” her husband is quoted, to which Viv responds: “Go save them, babe. We’ll sort out the rest when you return.”
Regrettably, the video does not include the actual rescue. Instead, it transitions to Viv’s husband parking in the garage with the three rescued dogs in the passenger seat.
In the video, it appears that the three dogs are of various breeds, likely mixed. While two of the pups appear frightened, one seems more relaxed, already snuggling up to his rescuer.
Shortly thereafter, the video showcases the three dogs joyfully playing in the backyard of their new home in Los Angeles, demonstrating the immense love and care provided to them by this couple.
The footage concludes with the dogs enjoying themselves alongside their Doberman, Canelo.
“I can’t comprehend how anyone could abandon these sweet little souls; they are safe now and will always be loved,” Viv expressed in her video caption, affirming that there would be no more worries for these dogs, a sentiment that would soon be validated.
Their New Adventures
The day following the rescue video, Viv provided an update showcasing the three dogs thriving in their new surroundings.
However, the TikTok clip she posted on August 21 holds deeper significance. In tandem with their picture, she revealed that new opportunities await these three pups.
In her caption, Viv mentioned that sadly, they could not keep all three dogs. Fortunately, each one found a loving forever home!
“The puppy on the far right was adopted by a high school friend of my boyfriend who has a large yard and a lab dog in need of a sibling, and he named him Country Boy.
The puppy in the middle went to an old high school friend of mine, who has a spacious backyard and another dog looking for a companion! She named him Maverick.
We kept the puppy on the far left, named Po, who is thriving in our home and adores his new big brother Canelo!” Viv wrote.
Ultimately, this moving tale concluded on a joyful note, thanks to two compassionate souls who chose to stand up for three vulnerable creatures when most others looked away.
