A dog named Bumper was born both deaf and blind, yet when a family first encountered him, they immediately fell for him regardless of his disabilities.
Amy, Bumper’s mom, shared with The Dodo that as time passed, the bond between him and her daughter, Faeron, became exceptionally unique. They were inseparable.
Unfortunately, as Faeron grew older, her life’s path led her away from home and from Bumper. Even so, this devoted dog kept her in his heart, yearning for their reunion.
Eventually, Bumper experienced the moment of his utmost joy.
“She came home for a visit. It had been a while,” Amy recounted.

“In his mind, this must seem like a typical dog’s life,” Amy said with a big smile.
This is particularly evident in his relationship with Faeron, where his blindness and deafness do not hinder him from enjoying joyful moments with his beloved person.
“He enjoys hiking, swimming, running, and even kayaking,” Amy mentioned. “Basically, he engages in almost everything that a sighted and hearing dog would do.”
