For Mark, who was already a dog owner, the decision was firm: no more dogs. Yet, everything shifted within moments the day his wife, Kay, unexpectedly welcomed a furry friend into their home.
Weezy, a young Basset Hound puppy, captured his heart with her adorable, wide-eyed expression, forever changing how he viewed dog ownership!

A Love That Took Them By Surprise
Weezy arrived in Kay and Mark’s lives as a delightful surprise from their daughter. Knowing how her husband felt about getting another dog, Kay had her doubts about his reaction.
But then, the magic happened!
Their first encounter lit the spark between them, and it was clear they had fallen for each other.
Strangely enough, she seems to prefer her dad over anyone else, even though her mom is the one who imparts important lessons and good behavior.
“She goes wild when he enters the room. He might be away for just an hour, but when he comes back, it’s like the best moment of her life,” Kay shared during an interview for Cuddle Buddies.
Weezy loves to curl up in Mark’s lap, plant a gentle kiss, and then doze off, savoring the warmth of his presence.
It’s safe to say that they’ve officially formed a strong father-daughter bond, closer than ever!
Her Dad Treats Her Like the Royalty She Is
One reason for Weezy’s affection for her dad might be that he’s regarded as “the fun person” in the household. He definitely treats her like royalty.
“I had to teach her, saying ‘No’ whenever necessary. Mark just gets to enjoy all the fun stuff. He absolutely treats her like a queen,” Kay explains.
Mark wakes her up each morning, serves her breakfast, and embarks on enjoyable adventures with her. Weezy’s life is a celebration centered on her dad and their shared experiences, and she couldn’t be happier.
Whenever they aren’t off on their exciting excursions, Mark and Weezy love to snuggle up on the couch, quietly enjoying each other’s presence.
Watching them share those tender moments is utterly heartwarming. Despite Weezy’s strong connection to her dad, Kay is more than okay with being a little sidelined at times! Their bond is just too precious to cause any jealousy.
“He scoops her up and holds her close, declaring his love for her every single day… She shares a unique relationship with him, and I wholeheartedly accept that,” says Kay.
Mark and Weezy’s bond is still flourishing. They enjoy walks, sip coffee, and indulge in yummy puppuccinos, while joyful rides in a doggo trailer expose them to new friends along the way.
