While dogs adore their humans above all, there are times when they relish solitude at home, bursting with pent-up energy. This can lead to some unfortunate incidents involving furniture and occasionally appliances, but that’s just part of life with our beloved pets.
That said, there are exceptions that prove the norm, such as dogs that leave the house intact after hours without their owner.
A perfect example is the three dogs who exhibited exemplary behavior when their owner left them alone in her home in Los Angeles, California.
But there’s an intriguing reason for their calm demeanor beyond simply avoiding chaos.
“Dog Therapy”

When Shima Circle returned home, she was relieved to find the room completely tidy but still felt uneasy checking the pet camera. She knew all too well what dogs could get up to when left unattended, so she braced herself for whatever she might see.
However, after reviewing the footage, she found there was absolutely nothing to fret over; her dogs hadn’t caused any trouble whatsoever.
What particularly amused her was the behavior of her Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever mix, Whiskey, prompting Shima to share that delightful moment on her TikTok account, @sellwithshima.
@sellwithshima Shout out to dog therapy music.

Aside from Whiskey, her other two dogs, Toby (a Golden Retriever) and Biggie (a Basenji), also behaved well, which is typical for them.
“They typically don’t get into trouble when I’m gone, although Toby does tend to roam around the house looking for us,” Shima mentioned to Newsweek.
However, the reason Whiskey almost never left the couch speaks volumes.
“I created a playlist on Apple Music called Dog Therapy, and I play that whenever I leave the house. It puts them right to sleep every time,” Shima added.
While this is quite remarkable on its own, it’s not surprising. Research from petMD shows that classical music can have calming effects on dogs, sometimes even hypnotizing them.
That’s exactly the kind of music Whiskey and his furry companions listened to.
Viewers Reactions
Unsurprisingly, this video drew considerable attention, so much so that Shima herself was taken aback by the response.
Many comments ensued, and here are a few highlights.

“He’s literally in shavasana. That’s amazing,” one commenter remarked.
“This dog is such an LA vibe, lol,” another chimed in.
A third user joked: “He is zen, he is peace, he is just a baby.”
Indeed, he’s just a baby, and it’s heartwarming to witness him relishing his happy space.
Keep up the good work, Whiskey!
