No matter how much joy they find in their temporary shelters, every animal harbors a singular dream – to be adopted into a loving home.
When potential adopters come to visit, these furry friends go all out to impress, showcasing their best behaviors with bright smiles and antics to capture attention.
Though this approach can yield positive results, it doesn’t always pan out. Finn, a lovable Pittie mix, knows this reality all too well.
Despite his eagerness to impress as the best boy, for reasons unknown, he often gets overlooked. As a result, Finn has spent more than 1500 days waiting in the shelter!
Is There Anyone Out There For Me?

Finn was just six months old when he was rescued by Wags and Walks Rescue, a Los Angeles-based organization.
Given that puppies typically find homes quickly, the shelter staff assumed Finn would soon be adopted, and they were correct!
A caring family took notice of this delightful pup and welcomed him into their lives, where he blossomed into an equally delightful adult. Yet, to everyone’s disbelief, Finn was returned to the shelter just a year later.

Returning to the shelter is a heart-wrenching experience for any dog. Many pups suffer emotional setbacks, and Finn was no exception. He withdrew completely, ignoring everyone who walked by his kennel.
Four long years have gone by, and sadly, he continues to call the shelter his home.
Nevertheless, the staff at the shelter are determined to help him. They shower Finn with the attention he deserves, providing everything necessary to help him heal and reveal his true personality.

Time To Go Home
After over 1500 days in the shelter, it’s clear that this wonderful boy deserves to have a home of his own.
He is a big dog with an endearing personality and impeccable manners; however, his energy has waned over time. Though he may be tense in new situations, once he settles down, Finn becomes the best companion.
He enjoys playful interactions with other dogs, but once he finds a comfy spot, he transforms into a couch potato.

“Finn attended training sessions with Rosewood K9, learning various commands, how to walk nicely on a leash, and to enjoy his crate. He is very food-driven and loves to perform for treats,” notes his adoption application.
This sweet dog would flourish in a loving home that offers him the time he needs to adjust. While he may be better suited for a household without small children, he would greatly appreciate having furry siblings!
“This boy is an absolute treasure, and we can’t wait for him to find his forever home!” the shelter staff emphasizes.
If you or someone you know can offer this endearing boy the life he deserves, please consider filling out his adoption application or reaching out to Wags and Walks Rescue for further details.
