This Pittie mix from Washington faced numerous challenges before finding her forever family. She suffered severe neglect from her previous owner and was heartlessly abandoned in an alley.
Although Jelly’s beginning was far from easy, she chooses to embrace love every day!
Abandoned in Horrific Condition
The reasons behind Jelly’s abandonment remain unclear. However, her new mother suspects that her illness led to her being left behind.
At that time, Jelly was experiencing severe health issues related to her digestive system. Instead of seeking treatment, her previous owner chose to abandon her. Alone and frightened, Jelly struggled to adapt.
Fortunately, she was not lost for long.
“She was in terrible shape at the time, struggling to digest her food. I believe this is why she was abandoned. Had she not been found that day, the outcome could have been grim,” Jelly’s mom shared with GeoBeats Animals.
On her arrival at her new home, Jelly was quite timid and reserved. It took her a whole month to begin trusting her new family members. But, once she broke through that barrier, she blossomed into an affectionate lovebug!
The Pittie, Jelly, is immensely thankful for her new family.
In just a month, she gained a whole new life and an incredible circle of lifelong friends who love her unconditionally.
Jelly Has All She Ever Dreamed Of
Initially, Jelly’s mom intended to foster her, as she already had two other dogs. However, this charming Pittie quickly captured their hearts. It became impossible to think of her leaving their home, so the family chose to keep her.
For the first time, Jelly felt a sense of home alongside her older dog sister, Nala, and her brother, Banzai!
She was cherished as the baby of the family, with Nala and Banzai protecting her like parental figures, ensuring she was always clean and happy!
“Both Banzai and Nala are very caring towards Jelly. When she was a puppy, they would make sure she stayed dry and clean,” her mom noted.
Yet, Jelly’s absolute favorite is her dad! While she often runs to her mom when she’s frightened or seeking attention, it’s her dad who is her ultimate playmate.
“My husband is her favorite because he is her biggest playmate,” Jelly’s mom added.
Jelly has indeed carved out a beautiful life in her new home in Washington! She enjoys countless adventures with her family, shares amusing barks with the neighbor’s dogs, and is the center of their universe!
After a day full of activities, she even has the funniest dreams!
After all she has been through, Jelly is now a joyful, carefree pup who wouldn’t change her life for anything! She has everything she ever required and more.
Her family is beyond grateful to have her!
