Service Dog Makes History by Earning Her Own Master’s Degree

Date:

For many generations, dogs and their humans have shared a special bond.

These loyal companions bring endless joy, delightful antics, and warm hugs, with service dogs going above and beyond in their support.

Service dogs are specifically trained to assist individuals with various needs, offering both physical assistance and emotional comfort.

Today, we will narrate a remarkable tale about one such dedicated pup.

Meet Noodle, an extraordinary pup who resolved to stand by her owner, no matter what.

After completing a rigorous training program to become a service dog, this Yellow Lab was adopted by her human, Jacklyn. When Jacklyn pursued her Master’s degree, Noodle decided to join in.

She loved being by her mom’s side in class, and unbeknownst to her, she was making history.

“She was the first and only dog to walk for Purdue University’s graduation this year,” Jacklyn shared with The Dodo.

During class, Noodle often napped at Jacklyn’s feet, capturing everyone’s attention. She was also a constant source of support, faithfully staying by Jacklyn’s side while she tackled her assignments.

Completing a Master’s in business administration was no small feat, and Noodle made it a point to encourage Jacklyn and remind her that she could achieve anything.

Eventually, all their hard work paid off as they secured an internship at Walt Disney Imagineering.

Before landing this internship, Noodle had already established herself as a Disney extraordinaire, given their frequent visits to the theme parks. She was well known among the Disney cast, and soon she would become one of them.

Just as she was the first dog at Purdue’s graduation, Noodle was recognized as Disney Parks Blogs, the first canine Imagineer in Florida.
