Every mother dedicates her life to her children, striving to provide them with their needs and a joyful childhood. The same holds true for mother dogs, particularly those enduring the challenges of raising their pups alone.
When a woman spotted a female Pit Bull near her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was unaware of the dog’s struggles. Despite feeding her on several occasions, the pittie yearned for something more.
Upon discovering the dog’s true desires, her heart ached for her, prompting her to take action.
Kindhearted Rescuer
The woman became aware of the dog’s challenges upon witnessing her nurturing a group of hungry puppies nearby. Without hesitation, she arranged a cozy spot for them but felt powerless to do more.
Determined to help, she filmed a video of the mother caring for her puppies and forwarded it to someone she believed could assist. Upon viewing, this compassionate rescuer sprang into action, hurrying to the scene.
When Audray Luck, founder of Luck’s Rescue, arrived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the mother dog eagerly leaped into her lap. Despite her hardships, her smile persisted, which led Luck to name her Happy.
Happy had once known the comfort of a loving home, but after her owners abandoned her, she was left to manage on her own. Before long, she gave birth to seven puppies, caring for them singlehandedly until she carried them to a neighbour’s house, where she was eventually discovered.
“Happy wanted nothing more than to ensure her pups were well-fed and healthy,” Luck shared with Cuddle Buddies.
Moved by her tragic situation, Luck committed to doing everything in her power to brighten the future for this mother dog and her pups.
A New Beginning
Luck took swift action and quickly arranged for foster care for the puppies, allowing the mother to remain with her for a while longer.
“Happy seemed worried. It was as if she was asking, ‘Where are my babies?’,” Luck recalled.
Eventually, a foster home was also found for Happy, where she received an abundance of love and care, helping her navigate the aftermath of her troubled past.
Luck, her savior, visited once more, bringing with her a wonderful surprise that rekindled Happy’s smile. It was her pups, and the joy she felt upon seeing them was priceless.
