Bruno Was Terrified
When Shira saw a video of Bruno, where she noticed him trembling helplessly, she felt compelled to help.
She shared with The Dodo: “I could see he wanted to be the sweet old boy he is, but fear held him back.”
Shira brought him into her car, showering him with cuddles to ease his tension. After roughly ten minutes, a transformation occurred.
Bruno relaxed and stopped shaking, realizing he was in a safe space with someone ready to help.
After taking him to a secure environment, she gave him a warm shower to clean his matted fur.
He looked so content post-bath that he promptly fell into a deep slumber.

Bruno’s New Foster Mom
The following day, Shira paired him with a foster mom, Chekechea, who felt compelled to give him the love he so deserved.

Chekechea serenades him before bedtime, helping to soothe him and facilitate his sleep.
As Bruno acclimated to his new caregiver, his true character began to shine through. She noted: “He’s really like a little grumpy old man.”
He thoroughly enjoys being around others, yet there are times he prefers solitude.
Chekechea cherished him and wished to adopt him permanently, but her busy lifestyle made it impossible.
Realizing it would be best for Bruno to find someone who could dedicate ample time to him, she made the tough decision to let him go.
Bruno’s Forever Home
Eventually, they found a potential adopter for Bruno. Armen came to meet him, and their connection was instant.
This sweet dog relaxed right away, making it easy for Armen to decide to adopt him.
Bruno was taken to his forever home, where he could begin anew and relish his time with his new dad.
After a few weeks, Shira felt it was a good idea to check on Bruno’s well-being.
Upon visiting Armen’s home, it was evident that Bruno was thriving and thoroughly enjoying his new surroundings.
