To his dismay, his owners had even left him without food or water, leaving him starving. Thankfully, the dedicated team managed to rescue him and brought him to City Dogs Cleveland, where he received the love and care he urgently needed.
The shelter staff welcomed Hoji with open arms, showering him with affection and determination to help him heal from his past trauma. With their love and attention, he began to bounce back and even opened his heart to the other dogs in the shelter, despite the betrayal he had faced.

The shelter even shared an update video featuring Hoji, now happily meeting a group of veterinary technician students to teach them about the work animal control officers do. He enjoyed the cuddles and affection from the students, reflecting his warm character.
Despite experiencing so much love from his shelter friends, Hoji still yearns for a permanent home. His ultimate dream is to find a family he can shower with the love he has reserved just for them.
