In fact, it doesn’t even have to be his human; Duke welcomes any visitor to his loving home with the same enthusiasm!
Always Full of Love
When Judy, Duke’s human, leaves the house, he is perfectly content to stay and guard their home. But when Judy returns, Duke always ensures she experiences the most heartwarming welcome.
“Anyone who comes into our home, he grabs whatever is nearby. Shoes, socks, toys—anything to give as a greeting. He’s like, ‘Here. Welcome to my home,’” Kathy shared with The Dodo.
For this reason, Duke always has an array of toys scattered around, ensuring there’s a gift ready for every guest.
Duke clearly enjoys lighting up people’s faces. Whenever the mailman arrives, he races over to greet him, radiating his positive vibe. This warm welcome isn’t exclusive to delivery personnel, though.
“During my daughter’s soccer matches, people were more focused on Duke than the game,” Judy recalled.
Cherished Companionship
Of course, Duke is not merely a pet; he is a beloved member of Judy’s family. Yet, there’s one person with whom he shares a particularly profound bond.
“My mother has an exceptional connection with Duke. She views him as her own pet, and bringing him over fills her with joy,” Judy expressed.
When Duke arrives at Nana’s house, he rushes in and greets her with the sweetest kisses imaginable. Nana adores it!
He also remembers to bring her a little present each time he visits.
