This sweet dog was searching for shelter and decided to rest on a random porch, unaware that this seemingly random choice would completely change his life.
Surprise, Surprise
When Mariah first saw Cooper, she was completely taken by surprise. While staying in an Airbnb in West Virginia, she and her fiancé did not expect any visitors. Out of the blue, they found Cooper sleeping on their porch, eagerly awaiting a kind gesture.
Mariah approached him, and he seemed ecstatic to see her. She reached out to pet him, and in return, he began licking her hand, which made her heart melt.
Feeling sympathy for the dog, Mariah recognized that he needed help, and she was determined to provide it. Cooper was visibly excited when he understood that this amazing couple would help him recover. After examining him, they concluded that he had a limp and was likely injured. Mariah also recalled her sister mentioning groups of dogs living nearby, leading to them naming him Cooper.
Cooper Finally Got A Chance
The sisters went to buy food for everyone, and as they enjoyed their meal, Mariah was eager to learn more about their story and how they came to be there. They discovered that the dogs lived near an old woman who had been feeding them, explaining their friendly demeanor. All the dogs were sociable, and it was evident that they had been well cared for by the community.
Despite being the skinniest of the bunch, Cooper stood out and clearly needed assistance. Attempts to convince her parents to adopt him didn’t succeed, leading Mariah and her fiancé to take it upon themselves to give this charming pup a new lease on life. Now, Cooper has a loving home with incredible people. Who would have thought that this unexpected meeting would forever alter his fate? It’s heartwarming to see him thriving now.
