Finally Safe
When compassionate animal lovers spotted her on the street, they quickly rushed to her aid.
They took her to their safe space and settled her in a special kennel area, allowing her to rest, decompress, and get ready for her new journey as a mother.
The dog, affectionately named Stormi, was quite anxious in her new surroundings. She was unsure of where she was or what was happening, so one of her rescuers offered to foster her, believing that giving birth in a calm, loving environment would be far more beneficial.
Just one day into her foster care, Stormi began to feel significantly more at ease.
Stormi enjoyed a restful night and cherished her walks in the backyard, where she got her daily exercise. She also had an ideal spot for giving birth to her puppies when the time was right.
The Babies Are On The Way
Shortly after settling into her foster home, Stormi went into labor.
She welcomed eight beautiful puppies into the world, but tragically, one did not survive. Another appeared to have been born missing one ear. Her foster mother was unsure whether this was a birth defect or an injury.
Ultimately, it didn’t matter. What was important was that the puppy had an ear canal, allowing him to hear perfectly, and he was otherwise healthy and strong!
As time passed, another puppy tragically passed away, leaving Stormi with six puppies – four males and two females.
