Some dogs enjoy the comfort of loving homes, embarking on adventures daily. Sadly, others never get the chance to experience such joy, and that truly breaks my heart!
Myna is one such dog who has been yearning for her moment since she entered this world.
At the age of ten, this beautiful girl has only known life in a kennel and boarding facilities. Yet, she continues to hold onto the hope that someday, a kind person will walk through that door and take her to her forever home!
Waiting for Her Moment
When Myna arrived at Twenty Paws Rescue in Brooklyn, New York, her past was a puzzle. All that the staff knew was that she had been living as a stray.
“Sadly, we have no information about her life before joining the shelter. She was simply a stray that ended up at the city shelter,” TPR shared on Facebook.
Myna quickly adapted to her new surroundings. Ever since, she has shown her friendly nature, even without having prior experience with humans.
This rescue has been caring for Myna for several years, and they’ve discovered one undeniable truth: she is an absolute sweetheart! However, they continue to receive no interest in her adoption.
“She’s truly a forgotten soul, and it pains us to see her waiting. For years, she’s been in boarding, longing for a chance. Not a single email has come in for this senior sweetheart, despite her being sweet, playful, affectionate, and always smiling,” TPR noted on Facebook.
Throughout the years, Myna has held onto her hope.
Each day, she rises with boundless enthusiasm and does not allow anything to douse her spirit!
“Nothing seems to bring her down; she faces each day with vibrant slobbery jowls ready for smooches,” the rescue shared.
Myna Still Has Lots of Energy
Even at ten years old, Myna’s spirit is that of a young pup! Her caregivers often refer to her as the fountain of youth because of her incredible energy!
She craves a family that will embark on exhilarating adventures alongside her— that’s simply how Myna thrives!
“Though she’s a senior, Myna has no health issues and remains an active dog, perfect for a family with older, energetic children. Additionally, she’s adaptable and would shine in a home where she could join in on all family activities,” her caregivers shared.
Through all her time at the rescue, this resilient girl has never shown signs of sadness. Myna is content with the love she receives from her dedicated caregivers, and she is poised to be an excellent companion!
After a decade of searching, it’s high time for this precious Boxer mix to meet someone who will cherish her just as she is. I can say with certainty that Myna will undoubtedly return all the love she receives!
